Start with the available source path
ChartSplice’s existing reporting work uses Zenoti-derived data through a customer data-platform path. That is different from claiming a universally available, one-click native Zenoti connector.
For your organization, discovery establishes how source activity can be accessed, which data already reaches a warehouse, and what historical coverage is available. We then scope the transformation and reporting work around that evidence.
The reporting application does not need to expose original patient records to provide a useful executive view.
Define financial activity carefully
Collections reporting can help leadership understand activity across periods, locations, and services. Its usefulness depends on the underlying financial definitions.
We need to establish which amounts are included, how refunds are treated, which date governs the period, and how financial activity is assigned to a location or service. Recognized revenue, cash collections, purchase value, and other measures should not share a label simply because they come from related records.
Those choices are documented before the dashboard is treated as an operating reference.
Separate operational events from customer states
Appointments, purchases, memberships, and service participation can support different business questions. They require different definitions.
An appointment status needs an agreed interpretation before it becomes a show-rate measure. A membership’s payment activity does not automatically establish the duration of an entitlement. Multiple purchases do not by themselves define a mature retention cohort.
| Reporting question | Definition work to establish |
|---|---|
| What was collected? | Financial source, date, refunds, location and service basis |
| Who paid during the period? | Qualifying financial activity and distinct-person rules within the selected scope |
| Which appointments occurred? | Relevant event types, status interpretation, cancellations and rescheduling |
| Who remains active? | Approved entitlement or membership rules and observation dates |
| How did a journey progress? | Source history, identity mapping, event sequence and cohort maturity |
Availability is determined for each question. The existence of a source table is not enough to promise a complete business measure.
Use aggregate views for executive questions
A leadership review usually needs patterns and comparisons rather than a patient-level ledger. We scope the reporting projection to the approved business purpose and define how limited, unavailable, or withheld results appear.
Aggregate presentation alone is not a blanket de-identification or compliance claim. Data handling, access, contractual requirements, and any suppression rules are reviewed for the actual deployment.
The website examples contain only fictional data.
Keep source and reporting responsibilities visible
Your practice system remains responsible for its source records. The ingestion path, transformation rules, reporting publication, and dashboard each need clear operating responsibilities.
We agree on refresh expectations and the handling of revised or delayed source information. Where a source requires additional permissions, vendor coordination, or historical reconstruction, that work appears in the scope.
What to bring to discovery
Bring the operating questions, location and service structure, current reporting examples, and an overview of how Zenoti data is available to your team today.
We can then discuss a focused first reporting scope, its source prerequisites, and the validation needed before leadership relies on it. Direct integration work, new source products, and advanced journey measures are scoped separately when required.
